ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Our facility is licensed to accommodate 167 children. Teachers and childcare personnel are selected with a criteria in mind: an understanding of children, a good measure of flexibility and patience. In addition, teachers have practical and academic training in Early Childhood Education and attend staff workshops on child development.

PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS
Small Feat preschool is concerned with the child’s integral growth and development. We believe in a loving nurturing environment, with a multicultural oriented curriculum, where learning is fun while maintaining a safe, organized and clean atmosphere.

Our goals are to promote the child’s physical development, help the child become socially competent, encourage emotional growth, and provide opportunities for cognitive learning which is so crucial during the early years.

IMPORTANT FEATURES OF OUR SCHOOL PROGRAM INCLUDES:

- Skilled, loving and certified professionals to plan and lead age appropriate lessons.
- High Reach Curriculum: A creative, hands-on learning curriculum based on the stages of child growth and development.
- An enrichment program for children through ages one through four and after schoolers children's camps.
- Low teacher/child ratio.
- Yoga classes for all ages.

Our School concentrates on developing children cognitively and emotionally with special attention to a healthy self-image, self-identity and interpersonal relationships. Children have learning centers available that are set up for math, science, art and a variety of areas for creative play. Blocks of time are set aside for group activities as the class progresses through monthly units of study, homework ages two and up to encourage values like resposibility and team work.

HOURS OF OPERATION AND SNACKS
Conveniently, we are open from 7:00 am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.

We are open year round. We are only closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the day after Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Memorial Day and 4th of July. Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve we close at 12:00 pm.

We provide snacks for the mid-morning and mid-afternoons. Refrigeration space or the heating of food in a warmer is available. Cold packs should be used when necessary. There is a hot lunch program available for those who wish to use it.

Small Feat has an open door policy which means that parents
can come to school at anytime to share with their children.
